The Federation’s policies are guided by the concepts of Facilitation, Focus, Foundation and Function
The ‘Whole Person Concept’ guides and provides definition for the Federation’s implementation of the policies, programmes and plans developed towards achieving the goals of a physically active lifestyle. All actions must cater to the development of the total person by addressing whenever required the Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, cultural, Emotional and Social attributes (S.P.I.C.E.S).
SPIRTUAL- excitement about life, growth of altruism, development of inner self, relationship with, self, others and God.
PHYSICAL- shelter, good nutrition, medical care, exercise, requirements for good health.
INTELLECTUAL– opportunities to develop skills in reading, math, arts, technical, etc
CULTURAL– festival and traditions, music, foods, customs, heritage
EMOTIONAL– understanding of feelings, accepting them, dealing appropriately with them and growing from them.
SOCIAL– communications with people, ability to give and take, empathize, care for and respect others
Each member that joins/volunteers with the Federation operates as a Service Leader. The big picture for the Federation is overall community development through leadership in the area of community service. There is a lot of intentionality to make leadership dynamic within the Federation. Therefore, the Federation isn’t centred on any one leader. Instead, it is an organization of people that embrace various roles of LEADERSHIP. The’ leader’ is seen as the person or persons who have the capacity to get a required job done. The goal is more important than the role.
The Federation believes that the most rewarding relationships are always partnerships. We believe that one is just too small a number to achieve anything great. We believe that our service capacity and efficiency are multiplied through cooperative efforts, teamwork, networking and partnerships. Thus as the challenges of community work escalates, there is a great need for teamwork to elevate. The Federation’s work is only accomplished when partnerships are form, to make a difference with people who want to make a difference doing something that makes a difference in the community.
The Federation through its Jump Rope Programme entitled ‘COME TAKE AH JUMP NAH’ was set up to promote community harmony and well being by introducing programmes of physical activity. The Federation exists to not only to promote jump rope, but to ultimately influence healthy lifestyle changes in communities throughout Trinidad and Tobago, firstly, and by extension the wider world. It is hoped that these changes will last for a lifetime and lead to optimal health.
To provide an enjoyable, low cost, cross fit complementary form of physical activity that promotes jump rope as a sport for recreation, fitness, podium finish, Industry and entertainment.
Come Take Ah Jump Nah!

Trinidad and Tobago Jump Rope Federation declares its beliefs in the B.A.S.I.C.S
Everything that we, Trinidad and Tobago Jump Rope Federation will ever accomplished in the work of developing the human being through physical activity will be gained because we acknowledged our connectedness, interrelatedness and interdependence with others .
Every human being was created with similarities and uniqueness. Our uniqueness is not meant to create discord and distance but rather a deepened understanding of human existence. Acceptance of diversity develops the important character traits of respect, objectivity and open- mindedness as oppose to bigotry
There is nothing more sad and damning to human existence than the selfish heart or the person that live for himself and ‘unto himself’. When the human being becomes narrowed up with selfishness then all humanity is under threat. Service to humanity is the only way to create profound life purpose. The more you serve the better you become. No organization survives that is bereft of the spirit of service. Service validates an organization’s existence.
‘No one left out!’ can sometime be a clichéd and flowery notion. But for us, No one left out means everyone ‘left-in’. It is the human nature to want to be acknowledge, affirmed, catered for and be given significance. To exclude, therefore, is literally the prelude to ‘never-ever being involved’. Inclusion facilitates mass participation; Mass participation facilitates future involvement. Future involvement means involvement for life. Involvement for life means continuity of life.
To live is to learn. Movement suggests life; Non movement DEATH! Therefore to move is to LIVE and learn. A Physically active lifestyle, therefore, creates a physically literate. A living- learning person; a human being!
it is no mean statement to say that nothing unites a the world like sports. Sport is a proven and sure-fire way to meet any mandate to create a better world, country, community, family life and/or individual. Unequivocally, sport has a critical part to play in our lives and that of human development; and why is that one may ask? Because sports deals with movement. Movement is an indication of life. What doesn’t move is dead. A world that doesn’t move is a dead world or at least is sowing the seeds of ill-health and premature death. Sports and the movement it generates perpetuate life.
We believe that…
